July 2008: Debut album 'Laura' to be released on Ba Da Bing! & Red Deer Club on 28th July (UK) & 15th July (US). The ten songs of the album were recorded in an abandoned 19th century palace on the outskirts of Budapest in August 2007 with Jeremy Barnes (Production, accordion, percussion) and Heather Trost (Viola, viloin) of A Hawk & A Hacksaw, Gabor Farkas (Clarinet), Zsolt Kurtosi (Double Bass), Ferencs Kovacs (Trumpet), Sari Kovacs (Flute) and Balasz Unger (Cimbalom & bratch). May 2008::: New limited-run three-track cdr released on Monday 19th May. Out on newly formed Apollolaan Recordings, the release is limited to a mere 50 hand-painted cdr copies and comprises a re-working of a 16th war branle by Arbeau, a rendition of John Dowland's 'Come Ye Heavy States' and a new, largely instrumental composition based on the traditional amatory Yorkshire song 'The Bonny Hawthorn'. Dec 2007::: A new single is coming out on Leeds' wonderful 'On The Bone Records' in the New Year, the release being available on 7" Vinyl across the UK and from all major MP3 download sites from Monday February 18th. The a-side is an incongruous, reed-led rendition of the traditional English song 'The Derby Ram' and the accompanying b-side is original live ukulele favourite 'I Would Love To'. A self made music video is also being produced to promote the single and a launch party will take place in Leeds on Saturday 9th February, with some very, very special guests indeed, proceeded by more live dates around the country.
